Double-hand Poker is a current game with old origins. Founded on the ancient Chinese domino game and the modern American adaptation of poker, Pai Gow poker marries the east with the west in a wonderful game for early level players.
Pai Gow is a poker game that puts the player vs. the dealer, unlike almost all other poker games that players wager against other players. By competing against the dealer, new players don’t have to be concerned about other, more skillful players taking their moolla.

Pai Gow is played with 53 cards; the normal 52-card common deck and one joker. The gambler is dealt 7 cards faces showing and the croupier receives 7 cards faces hidden.
A five card hand and one 2 card hand have to be put together from the 7 cards dealt, the 5 card hand has to be stronger than the 2 card hand. To succeed, a player needs both of his hand values to be higher than the houses.
