Poker has become globally celebrated as of late, with televised events and celebrity poker game events. The games universal appeal, though, arcs back quite a bit farther than its TV scores. Over the years numerous variants on the first poker game have been developed, including a handful of games that are not really poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is one of the above-mentioned games. Regardless of the name, Caribbean stud poker is most closely affiliated with blackjack than long-standing poker, in that the gamblers bet against the bank rather than each other. The winning hands, are the long-standing poker hands. There is little concealment or other types of bamboozlement. In Caribbean stud poker, you are expected to pay up before the croupier announcing "No more bets." At that point, both you and the bank and of course all of the different players acquire 5 cards each. Once you have observed your hand and the bank’s 1st card, you must in turn make a call wager or accede. The call wager’s value is akin to your original bet, which means that the stakes will have doubled. Surrendering means that your ante goes directly to the house. After the wager is the conclusion. If the house doesn’t have ace/king or greater, your wager is returned, plus a figure equal to the ante. If the dealer has a hand with ace/king or greater, you win if your hand defeats the dealer’s hand. The casino pays chips equal to your bet and controlled expectations on your call wager. These odds are:

  • Even for a pair or high card
  • two to one for 2 pairs
  • 3-1 for three of a kind
  • four to one for a straight
  • five to one for a flush
  • seven to one for a full house
  • twenty to one for a four of a kind
  • fifty to one for a straight flush
  • 100-1 for a royal flush
