Web poker has become world acclaimed lately, with televised competitions and celebrity poker game events. The games universal appeal, though, arcs back in fact a bit farther than its TV ratings. Over the years several types on the earliest poker game have been created, including a handful of games that are not quite poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is one of these games. Despite the name, Caribbean stud poker is more closely affiliated with twenty-one than traditional poker, in that the gamblers bet against the casino instead of each other. The winning hands, are the traditional poker hands. There is little bluffing or other types of boondoggle. In Caribbean stud poker, you are expected to ante up just before the croupier announcing "No further bets." At that moment, both you and the house and of course every one of the other gamblers receive 5 cards each. Once you have seen your hand and the casino’s 1st card, you need to in turn make a call bet or accede. The call wager’s value is on same level to your beginning ante, which means that the stakes will have doubled. Surrendering means that your ante goes directly to the bank. After the bet comes the showdown. If the bank doesn’t have ace/king or greater, your wager is returned, plus a figure in accordance with the original wager. If the dealer does have ace/king or greater, you succeed if your hand defeats the bank’s hand. The dealer pony’s up chips even with your bet and set odds on your call wager. These odds are:

  • Even for a pair or high card
  • two to one for 2 pairs
  • 3-1 for three of a kind
  • four to one for a straight
  • five to one for a flush
  • 7-1 for a full house
  • twenty to one for a 4 of a kind
  • 50-1 for a straight flush
  • one hundred to one for a royal flush
